PI / PL Cover

Definitions explained

Public Liability (LI)

Public Liability provides coverage for negligence causing personal injury or property damage, for example - tangible properties.

Professional Indemnity (PI)

Designed to respond and cover you for any financial loss arising from poor advice causing loss/damages, for example, due to poor advice, bad decision making resulting from poor investment, hence loss of money or causing bad reputation (intangible properties).

Public Liability and Professional Indemnity cover is mandatory when you commence any Montare contract. It is a legal responsibility of Montare to ensure all of our IT contractors have this cover whilst working on any client site.

If you have this insurance then you will need to bring a copy of your insurance certificate when you sign your contract at Montare. If you don't have your own insurance, then you can be covered under the Montare policy for a nominal percentage of your pay - this is deducted at time of payment.

Insurance is essential to any business or IT contractor. It ensures that, should anything unexpected happen, you will be not burdened with any unnecessary or unanticipated costs.
